- Sleeve
Sleeves are used to load weight plates; the longer the sleeve, the more plates can be loaded.
The surface of the sleeves can be smooth during the turning process, and it can also retain the turning marks.
If the surface of the sleeves is smooth, the friction will be reduced when the sleeve is locked with collar, which has the advantage of protecting the plating on the surface of the sleeve from being damaged;
If the surface of the sleeve retains the Turning tool pattern, the friction will be increased when locking with collar, but when loading and unloading plates,
it will make a crisp sliding sound, even though this way is easy to cause damage to the plating layer on the surface of the sleeve, there are still a lot of customers prefer this way.

- Flange (shoulder)
Flanges can be used to block the movement of the weight plates, or the overall weight of the barbell can be adjusted by modifying the dimensions;
Sometimes, in order to load more weight plates, The width of the flange will be increased to ≤20mm.
As the width of the flange gets wider, the force of the load on both sides goes outward, which makes a difference.



- Bearing
Eako has 2 kinds of bearing for barbell, Needle bearing and ball bearing.
Ball bearings: Reduce the contact surface between balls, helping to reduce noise and improve system stability. Due to the small size of ball bearings, they have an average load capacity, so they are generally used in less expensive barbells;
Needle bearing: The rolling elements of needle bearings are needle-shaped, which allows them to bear a greater loads. They are suitable for high load-bearing barbells and are much more expensive than ball bearings.
We can customize according to customer's demand quantity, such as installing 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 sleeves on each side of the sleeve.

- Bushing
Outside bushing of sleeve
Eako has 2 kinds of outside bushing of sleeve, copper bushing and stainless steel bushing.
Generally, stainless steel barbells are matched with stainless steel bushings, other materials barbells are matched with copper bushings. Barbell bushings can also be selected according to customer requirements.

Inside bushing of sleeve
Eako has 2 kinds of inside bushing of sleeve, copper bushing and graphite copper bushing.
These two kinds of inside bushing are used to replace the bearings inside the sleeve and do not require high rotation like the bearings.
Graphite is added to the graphite copper bushing, which can provide lubrication during rotation. Compared with copper bushings, the cost is more expensive.

- Knurling
Knurling increases friction and enhances grip for lifting weights.
Depending on the situation, the specifications and types of knurling are also different.
Barbells usually use hatching knurling, and the spacing between knurlings is represented by "P". Currently, we generally use two specifications: P1.2mm and P1.5mm.
Currently, Eako has 3 types of knurling:

1. Hill knurling: Flat design can undoubtedly avoid tearing the palm, scratching the calf, at the same time the palm touch is relatively mild,suitable for small light training.
2.Mountain knurling: These small, sharp bumps allow the trainer to grip the barbell into the skin of the palm, making the barbell more integrated into the palm and less prone to slipping or displacing.when the high grip strength is required, these sharp bumps will easily hurt the skin of the hand of the trainer with the rolling of the barbell bar.
3.Volcano knurling:The palm skin is squeezed into the pit at the top of the raised diamond by the force of the gripping, which makes the skin more tightly connected to the barbell, increasing friction.

- Surface treatment
The purpose of barbell surface treatment is to increase wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
Usually, barbell surfaces will use two types of surface treatments, one is electroplating and the other is coating.

At present, we can achieve the PSI of materials for barbell:190,000 PSI to 248,000 PSI. Customers can determine the material of the shaft to be used based on their own needs.

- Packing
We have two types of packing for barbell: carton and paper tube.
